Symmetry Skeg system™ uses a spring as the force to drop the skeg and a wire with which to retract it. This in contrast with most skegs used by other brands that utilize the wire-skeg system.

The kit includes all components for Skeg Control and Skeg.

This kit is not suitable for retrofitting as the necessary inserts, recesses and pre-molded threads are only present on Point 65 kayaks made for SymmetrySkeg™.

      Poor installation by manufacturer!

      After 3 days of trying to get this skeg to work, I realized that N65 had installed it incorrectly during the assembly process! I had to weld the broken controller and figure out how to wind it correctly! Now it actually works (for now). But it won't last very long. I will be installing an aftermarket rudder to replace this junk. Very disappointed in this product!

      Useless skeg

      Where can I find a replacement skeg system (that works) for my point 65n seacruiser? Something with cable instead of the crappy piece of shopping twine that came with the boat.
