Great boat but hard to assemble if you’re not tall

I live in an urban area, and bought this kayak to throw in our CRV and take to the lake solo. But as a 5 foot 3 person it’s almost impossible for me to straddle and assemble and disassemble by myself. I always need the assistance of a taller person. I adore this boat but this has been a drawback for me - I use it much less than I had anticipated.

    Trick for disassembly

Point 65 should post a video somewhere. If you are small framed it is near impossible to disassemble. And Im very fit! I finally found a workaround. Use a yoga block pushed under each side of the back portion near the connecting point. When you lift to disassemble NOW the other half will drop apart more easily. Your welcome!!! Lol

first outing ok, rudder pedals difficult to adjust

Overall first paddle was good but rudder pedals were/are difficult adjust and operate. It's possible that further experiance will help with that.

Martini triple seater always attracts comments!

We own a four pieces (3 seats) Martini. It was purchased many years ago... We carry it in our minivan (2-3 pieces on top, 1-2 inside). We love it for its ease of assembly and how stable, nimble and comfortable it is. At 16+ feet length we always get comments when we get it out of car and on the river or lake!

Best purchase in a long time

Wonderful kayak. Easy to put together and take apart. Tracks well. Rudder works great in choppy open water. Very glad I made this purchase.
